Teaching Projects

ACU – Maths

The ACU project is a partnership between ACU, Roxburgh College, Brunswick Secondary College, Penola Catholic College and Caroline Chisholm College. The Australian Research council has allocated a grant to fund the project over the next 3.5 years. The project focuses on Scientific Literacy for VCE Biology, Psychology & Chemistry. The outcome will mean better results for VCE Science students because we will have built their capacity to use academic language and nomenclature when preparing written responses in assessment.

STEM – Catalyst

Roxburgh College has been selected as part of 30 schools across Victoria to be part of the STEM Catalyst program that aims to increase the uptake Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) subjects across the school, with a focus on Year 7 and Year 8.

Positive Education

Positive education is an approach to education that draws on positive psychology's emphasis of the individual strengths and personal motivation to promote learning. Roxburgh College has embarked on this teaching approach and will be implementing it into the school over the coming years.
